The ear that hears the rebukes of life Will abide among the wise. He who disdains instruction despises his own soul, But he who heeds rebuke gets understanding. Proverbs 15:31‭-‬32 NKJV http://bible.com/114/pro.15.31-32.NKJV

He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Moderate Muslims and The Great Commission

Why do evangelical Christians way so much time trying to Moderate Muslims to admit that what the radical Muslims are doing is exactly what the Koran tells them to do?

Yes they are Fundamentalists, but those people are not open to discussion or reason.  They are so firm in their beliefs, it is correct or die!

With the Moderate Muslim, you can have a dialogue any chance to witness to them.  Something you will never have with a Radical/Fundamentalist Muslim.

We're not told in Scripture that everyone who hears our message will repent and believe.  Only that we are to preach the Gospel in and out of season.  At one time Jesus had thousands following Him, but after His death, only 120 were in the upper room.  We should not waste so great an opportunity to witness to these people, while spending our time trying to convince them they are wrong.

It is not our job as Christians to judge these people, but to witness and warn them of their error.  They are God's children just like we are.  God is not a respecter of persons, but loves all equally.  Jesus died for all sinners and that includes Muslims.

Gnosticism

How is Gnosticism different from Charismatic teachings like "baptized in the spirit" or "special anointing"?  Both claim to have a special knowledge or enlightenment ie Nirvana/Hindu/Buddhist meditation.  All false religions claim/tried to open your mind/drop your defense is so the enemy can attack/fill mind with wrong teaching.  Again trying to control your mind.

Is this in a subtle way the same thing Satan is always used " your eyes will be opened and you will be like God!" Why does he keep using this?  Because it works and works well!  Anytime you claim to have knowledge others don't, that puts you in a position of power.

There will always be a group of people willing to follow someone who claims this knowledge and never question them.  We need to remember to always be good Bereans and test everything by the Bible.  We will remain susceptible to things like this as long as we fail to read the Bible once a year.

How can we be filled with the knowledge of God or His Holy Spirit if we are not filled with His Word?  These are inseparable!

The source of Homosexuality

Why are we so a obsessed with where this and originates?  Dr. Albert Mohler was grilled for waffling on some strong statements he made on the subject years ago, then recently recanted of those views.  AFA's Brian Fisher talked on this and had an exchange on twitter with Dr. Mohler's spokesman about it trying to nail down Dr. Mohler's views now.

I understand Brian fisher's view on Dr. Mohler over this, but the greater issue here is, what does it matter if people are born with an inclination to people of the same sex or do they develop it somehow later?

Regardless of the answer the source is the same, the sinful Adamic nature of man!

We are born with an Adamic nature, concerned and sea and and are condemned to death for that sin.  This entire world and everything in it is warped by sin.

Also homosexuality is no greater issue and then adultery, fornication, murder, rape ect.

All separate us from God and condemn us to hell.

Why are we spending our time arguing where this comes from and how?

Instead, we should be fulfilling the Great Commission and telling people that those who commit this and other sins are going to Hell, if they don't repent.

If we as Christians fail to tell others about their sins and their only hope for forgiveness, which is only found in Jesus Christ, nothing else matters!  Not the source, not the type of sin or what someone may or may not have said.

It all comes down to where you stand before Jesus on Judgment Day, He will either be your Savior or or He will be your Judge.

All sins come from our Adamic nature, including homosexuality.  So to say that someone was born that way is true up to a point.

The real point is not that they are tempted by homosexual thoughts and desires, but that they make the choice to act them out.  Then it changes from temptation to sin.  We all fight temptation one way or another, but what it comes down to, is our response to the temptation.

For the Christian, this is when we need to bow in prayer and call up on God's promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13.  We do not have any control over temptation entering our lives, but we have complete control over how we choose to react to the temptation.
