Moderate Muslims and The Great Commission
Why do evangelical Christians way so much time trying to Moderate Muslims to admit that what the radical Muslims are doing is exactly what the Koran tells them to do?
Yes they are Fundamentalists, but those people are not open to discussion or reason. They are so firm in their beliefs, it is correct or die!
With the Moderate Muslim, you can have a dialogue any chance to witness to them. Something you will never have with a Radical/Fundamentalist Muslim.
We're not told in Scripture that everyone who hears our message will repent and believe. Only that we are to preach the Gospel in and out of season. At one time Jesus had thousands following Him, but after His death, only 120 were in the upper room. We should not waste so great an opportunity to witness to these people, while spending our time trying to convince them they are wrong.
It is not our job as Christians to judge these people, but to witness and warn them of their error. They are God's children just like we are. God is not a respecter of persons, but loves all equally. Jesus died for all sinners and that includes Muslims.

Gnosticism
How is Gnosticism different from Charismatic teachings like "baptized in the spirit" or "special anointing"? Both claim to have a special knowledge or enlightenment ie Nirvana/Hindu/Buddhist meditation. All false religions claim/tried to open your mind/drop your defense is so the enemy can attack/fill mind with wrong teaching. Again trying to control your mind.
Is this in a subtle way the same thing Satan is always used " your eyes will be opened and you will be like God!" Why does he keep using this? Because it works and works well! Anytime you claim to have knowledge others don't, that puts you in a position of power.
There will always be a group of people willing to follow someone who claims this knowledge and never question them. We need to remember to always be good Bereans and test everything by the Bible. We will remain susceptible to things like this as long as we fail to read the Bible once a year.
How can we be filled with the knowledge of God or His Holy Spirit if we are not filled with His Word? These are inseparable!
