Much has been written about this case, I thought I would weigh in. As a certified CLEET armed security guard one of the things they teach you is " shoot, don't shoot". Which means it teaches you when you are justified in using deadly force to protect yourself and others and when you are not. One of the main things they stress is, once the threat is stopped, you are no longer justified in shooting the person. As the video shows, Mr Ersland stopped the threat, the man in the store, then chased the other suspect out the door. He returned, went behind the counter retrieved another gun and shot him again. Much has been made from his actions, i. e. armchair jurors in the letters to the editor and comment posts in the paper. As anyone who is CLEET certified can tell you, YOU ARE NEVER JUSTIFIED DOING THAT! I feel for Mr. Ersland's family and could even understand some of the emotion that he was feeling at the time, robbing his store and trying to protect his employees. Ryder and Penske make a strong moral stand

Ryder and Penske have both made the decision not to rent trucks to medical facilities that preform abortions! Praise God for the people who sit on the corporate boards of these companies and made this decision. Of all the sins in this nation abortion is one of the most heinous. It affects the most helpless in our society and the most vulnerable. We need to support the companies with our letters, phone calls and also use their trucks when we need to rent one. To let the mainstream media tell it abortion is accepted by a wide majority of the people, a quick Google search will prove otherwise. We need to stand united with these companies and others who share these views and let it be known that this is neither accepted or condoned in this country. The only way this is going to stop is if it is looked upon by society as the horrible procedure it is. PC vs. Profanity

Kobe Bryant was recently fined $100,000 for calling a referee a gay racial slur that begins with the letter f (rhymes with maggot). I have no problem with this as I think there is no place in our society for any kind of racial slurs. However it seems strange to me that our society is quickly accepting profanity in everyday conversation and on every media outlet. Such as Vice President Biden whispering the F word to President Obama while signing the Affordable Care Act, well within earshot of the cameras.It is also being heard more frequently on TV. As a Christian I find the use of God's name in vain very offensive. Yet I cannot imagine anyone being fined for doing so, not to mention it is one of the Ten Commandments. "Exodus 20:7 "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain." ESV. What kind of society would fine someone for a gay slur but, not for using The Lord's name who blessed this country so and has allowed us to prosper like no other before it ? One who is like the one described in Isaiah 5:20 " Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!".ESV. We have gotten so far from our Lord and His Word we don't even realize how far from Him we are or don't care! My Fellow Christians join with me and let us pray for repentance and reawakening in our country. May God send men like George Whitefield to preach repentance in our nation. God is our only hope! He is all we ever need if we will just turn to Him in repentance.

We must all as Christians stand up for the Truth of Scripture never giving any ground to the enemy on what the Bible says, but at the same time reach out to those who are lost and dying.

This is outrageous! When we require out police officers to such indoctrination as this this is nothing short of the Islamic faith being forced on a group that does not want it. Where is the ACLU! If I tried this with my church there would be a media firestorm. The ACLU would hyperventilate! As a Christian I believe that we should share the Gospel with them as they are Children of God same as we are, but are greatly mislead. This is an outrage on two sides, first Prop 8 from California was approved by an overwhelming majority! Over 7 million to be exact, and yet it can and possibly will be turned over by an activist judge or panel. If that were not enough the governor and state attorney general ( who just happens to be the incoming governor ) were very much in favor of same sex marriage, decided not to defend the public's choice. When the public can no longer rely on those who were elected to defend and protect the laws and will of the people who do they turn to? Also another is the push by Sen. Harry Reid to push the spending bill for the military during a lame duck session. In it is the provision to force military bases to preform abortions, at tax payer expense, regardless of how the public or individual tax payer feels about this. Along with don't ask don't tell. The way it is set up Congress either has to vote for the measure with the abortion clause in it or not fund the war at all.
